35th VALTELLINA OROBIE

Valtellina Orobie

Valtellina Orobie: an iconic competition, is the highlight of the World Cup alpine ski calendar.

To sign off the event, as always, is the town of Albosaggia and the Polisportiva Albosaggia ASD,
unquestionable historic protagonists in the growth of alpine skiing. For almost half a century now, the Meriggio,
a mountain symbolic among athletes and enthusiasts alike, is now the perfect destination for all those who
practice this sport.

The 35th Valtellina Orobie ISMF Ski Alp World Cup 2021/2022 is the result of a shared passion and enormous
collaborative organizational effort developed over the last ten years by a handful of “green pioneers”. In 2022
the collaboration has been extended to include the City of Sondrio, the Union of the Townships of Valmalenco
and the Tourism Consortium of Sondrio Valmalenco.

The high point of the event is framed by two diverse competitions of the World cup taking place in Caspoggio
(the Sprint Race) on February 5rd and in Valmalenco (Individual Race) taking place on February 3th in which
roughly 160 athletes will take part in. The snow challenge will include the most specialized in the categories of
Seniors, Under 23 and the Under 20 from over 15 countries.

Eurovision Sport will follow and present the entire ISMF circuit and race.

The event will be front and center on the Montagna of Lombardy agenda and will involve the partnership of not
only the local administration but all interested parties in the territory.

Heart of the 35th Valtellina Orobie ISMF Ski Alp World Cup 2021/2022 with themed trimmings throughout the
county including the Piazza Garibaldi, the Teatro Sociale and the skialp village, headquarters of all the official
and collateral events.
